About SV Kampong
The 2016 champions have once again a strong squad to work with ahead of this latest EHL competition. Dutch Olympians Jip Janssen, Jonas de Geus, Lars Balk and Sander de Wijn link up with Bjorn Kellerman up top as well, giving them a well-rounded squad but Robbert Kemperman has been injured in recent times.
They are joined by rising stars Silas Lageman, Terrance Pieters, Derck de Vilder and Ties Ceulemans while David Harte has returned after a long spell out injured. De Vilder and Pieters have scored 10 times each in the Dutch league with Janssen their main corner striker with 19 to his name.
EHL winners Martijn Havenga (retired), Pepijn Luijkx (Schaerweijde) and Floris de Ridder (SCHC) all moved on last summer with Roelant Oltmans welcoming five players to the main panel from the club’s youth section, notably Mats Gruter who scored on debut last season.
They picked off a 5-1 win over SV Arminen and a 5-2 victory against Dinamo Elektrostal last October to take the points on offer from the RANKING CUP.
Kampong sit in fourth place in the Dutch league but it have been going through a tricky run with one win from their last five games, meaning they face a strong battle with Oranje-Rood to secure a place in the top four.
