About Post SV
Post SV finished last year’s Austrian championship in second position to qualify for the EHL for the first time. Austria has a second spot in the EHL with thanks to their performances last October at the Euro Trophy in Vienna where they finished second overall.
Life has been tricky since then in the Austrian league where they sit in fourth place as they struggled to replace international youngster Fabi Unterkircher who went to HC Den Bosch and the long term injury of Austrian hockey legend Benny Stanzl, an EHL winner with Harvestehuder THC.
Tomasz Szmidt is the coach for a fifth season having recently retired from his position as Austrian men’s team head coach. Captain Christoph Turek is recovering from a knee surgery but won’t be back before summer while Austrian international Luci Unterkircher had a motorcycle accident in December and has been foreced to retire.
