About SV Kampong
The Utrecht side will play in their seventh successive season in the Euro Hockey League with their sights on a second title following their victory in 2016 in Barcelona. They qualified as the runners-up in the Dutch championship, coming second to HC Bloemendaal in the national final.
Alexander Cox extended his contract with the club having overseen their rise to be one of the leading clubs in Europe and they have added top-line quality with Terrance Pieters and Jonas de Geus moving from Almere. Teun Kropholler has switched to AH&BC Amsterdam with Floris de Bie going to HGC.
There was relief for Kampong this year in the EHL draw as they avoided Rot-Weiss Koln, a side they have played five times in the last six seasons. Instead, they will play Belarussian side HC Minsk for the first time.
