About SV Arminen
Austria’s most successful EHL club, they feature internationals Dominic Uher, Daniel Fröhlich, Lorenz Klimon, Alex Bele, Mateusz Szymczyk and Michael Minar who all played their part in Austria’s success at the EuroHockey Championship II in Poland last summer.
Since then, Robert Bele has decided to step back from the international stage but it shows there is plenty of quality in their line-up with Uher returning to his homeland following a spell in Belgium.
Also joining the first team setup are Jonas Fischer (HC Ludwigsburg), Florian Hackl (own youth section), Maximilian Kelner (own youth) and Christoph Sandbichler (HG Mödling).
Hackl has impressed, scoring 10 goals this term, second only behind Uher who has 14 in the Austrian league. They currently lead the campaign and won their only game since Christmas, 3-2 against WAC, putting them 6-2 ahead of HC Wien.
Four players departed last summer, meanwhile, for other leagues around Europe; Fülöp Losonci is in Germany with Harvestehuder THC Hamburg; Andreas Kapounek is now with Racing Club de France; Maximilian Hahnenkamp plies his trade in Italy with Paolo Bonomi and Konstantin Klimon is in the Swiss competition with Rot Weiß Wettingen.
At the Ranking Cup last October, Arminen showed up well, taking the lead against SV Kampong before the Dutch side eventually showed their might.
