About Real Club de Polo
Katie Allen has taken on the coaching role for the 2022/23 season as Real Club de Polo look forward to their EHL KO16 derby date with Club Egara in Hamburg.
It will be their third meeting in the EHL, Polo winning both in 2016 (3-0) and 2019 via a shoot-out.
Polo topped the Spanish regular season last term but missed out on the national title at the hands of Atlètic Terrassa in a 6-5 shoot-out.
The side features Marc Miralles and Marc Reyné who are part of the Spanish side for the EuroHockey Championship qualifiers in Ourense while they have a key addition in Yannick van der Drift who joins the club from HC Bloemendaal. Javier Cabot has gone to the Belgian club Braxgata, while the Argentine Santiago Tarazona returns to his country to prepare for the World Cup next January.
