About Junior FC
Junior FC will be competing in European women’s outdoor club competition for a third time having lined out in the old EuroHockey Cup Winners Challenge in 1994 and the Trophy in 2018 when they won silver in Dublin.
They qualified as Spain’s second seed as the silver medals from Club de Campo (EHL Women) and Complutense (Trophy) in 2021’s Euro club competitions boosted their rating on the EHL rankings list. They finished runners-up in the Spanish championship and the Copa de la Reina to Club de Campo in 2021.
Their side is one powered by World Cup bronze medalists like Gigi Oliva and Carlota Petchame while Maria Gesti has been providing the goals with five in the first half of the season. Laura Bosch and Berta Serrahima are among their rising stars.
They got their league campaign off to a slow start this season but they have won their last five Spanish league matches to rise into the top four with Anna Gil topping their scoring charts with nine to his name while Mariona Serrahima has seven.
