About Harvestehuder THC
Harvestehuder THC will host the EHL for the second time having brough the event to their Hamburg home in 2015 for ROUND1 where they own both of their games 6-1.
It will be their first EHL appearance since 2016’s run to the Bronze medal in Barcelona having previously won the competition in their debut 2013/14 season.
They have a number of players still in place from those successes like Austrians Michael Körper and Xaver Hasun, Englisman George Farrant, South African Nick Spooner and Kilian Pöhling who is back at the club following a spell with Hamburger Polo. They have been augmented by the likes of Nqobile Ntuli, rising Austrian stars Moritz Frey and Fülöp Losonci.
Körper is one of the EHL’s most prolific scorers, doing so at a ferocious pace – he has 20 goals in 12 fixtures in the competition while he also scored the winning shoot-out in the 2014 GRAND FINAL.
The legendary Tobias Hauke, however, has retired from the club game following last season.
They qualified for this season’s EHL as winners of Germany’s third place playoff fixture.
