About Düsseldorfer HC
Düsseldorfer HC won their first ever German title last season in the extended 2019-21 season and they duly backed that up with a second title last spring with final success against Mannheimer HC.
This season, they are very much in contention for the playoff places at the mid-term break on 20 points, one point off second place in the overall table.
They bring a range of international experience with Selin Oruz among their star names, joined by goalkeeper Nathalie Kubalski, Maike Schaunig and Elisa Grave along with Spanish international Clara Ycart.
New addition Agustina Albertarrio won World Cup silver with Argentina last summer and is their top scorer alongside Lisa Nolte on six goals this season with Emma Sophie Hessler just behind on four.
Sara Strauss is a real talent, making her way on the international stage both indoors and outdoors while 19-year-old Sophia Schwabe is another star in the making. Both were part of the German Under-21 side at the Junior World Cup in 2022 with Lilly Stoffelsma and the team captain Nolte.
They had the fifth best record in the German outdoor league in the first half of the season and won the indoor national title in February to continue their incredible run in recent seasons.
