About Atletic Terrassa HC
Atlètic Terrassa is one of the EHL’s most regular features, participating in 11 separate seasons, highlighted by FINAL4 appearances in 2016 in Barcelona and, of course, their silver medal in 2021 at the Wagener Stadium.
Indeed, prior to the formation of the EHL in 2008, Atlèti won two European titles and seven silver medals.
The key to Atlètic’s success is only due to the good work of its nursery and training school a huge source of pride for the whole club with so many players coming through their home ranks to play for the senior team and beyond.
Marc Salles is their experienced dynamo in midfield and he guides a team along with Dutch defender Johannes Mooij, Jordi Bonastre and Pepe Cunill; all big players. Pau Cunill is one of the world’s most fearsome corner flickers, a feature of their run to silver in 2021.
Since last season, Ignasi Torras moved to Belgium and Racing Club de Bruxelles last summer while Roc Oliva retired following a stellar career.
They qualified for this edition via a magical season, winning both the Spanish championship along with the Copa del Rey. Xero Gasol’s side are in the title chase in Spain, sitting in second place with nine wins from 13 games.
