Match report
Four Alexander Hendrickx goals saw Pinoké delight their home crowd and earn fifth place from their debut season, his winning strike coming with just two minutes to go.
Hendrickx struck twice in the first half – one from a corner, one from a stroke – either side of a Harvestehuder THC double. Michael Körper finished off first time from a cross from the right and then fellow Austrian player Fulop Losonci dived onto a great ball from the other side.
That made it 2-2 at half-time and the goals kept coming in the second period. HTHC went in front when Ben Hasbach got an outstanding over the head touch to Bill Ntuli’s looping shot.
Pinoké, though, were back to 3-3 courtesy of a Boris Aardenburg touch following some nice work from Miles Bukkens. Körper hit the post to deny HTHC a lead for the third time and, within seconds, Bukkens won a corner which Hendrickx brilliantly dispatched into the backboard.
HTHC bounced back, however, when Pinoké were down to 10 players with Körper cleaning up amid a mad scramble – his 27th EHL goal, moving him to equal third on the all-time list.
But Bukkens won one last corner and Hendrickx got enough power on it to land his side the result.
