About Watsonians HC

The Scottish club is enjoying a landmark year with unprecedented European representation across the men’s and women’s side, outdoors and indoors.

While the women’s squad has been a regular presence in European competition over the past five years, they will be the first Scottish side to play on this stage. It follows their second place finish in the EuroHockey Club Trophy I in Rakovnik, just behind England’s Hampstead & Westminster.

The side has a healthy international contingent who were part of the Scotland side who competed in the World Cup qualifiers in India, namely Sarah Jamieson, Fiona Burnet, Katherine McLaren and Charlotte Watson.

They also have a slight psychological edge over Railway Union whom they meet in the FINAL12 having won the indoor meeting between the two sides in Lambersart in February in the Club Trophy.
