About SV Arminen
Nitan Sondhi will continue to lead the SV Arminen side into this latest EHL campaign as they continue to introduce young players to the first men’s team.
To this end, he has added the talented Marcin Nyckowiak from Post SV to his line-up while there are further new additions in Marten Oel (Berliner HC), Noah Mendoza (Los Angeles), Max Stvarnik (WAC) and Oskar Rathkolb from the club’s own youth team.
On the departures side, Robert Campe has gone to ASV Munich while Tristan Wunsch and Raphael Kolle have gone to Westend.
The lively Max Kelner is the one to watch while there is a wealth of international experience in their line-up between Daniel Fröhlich, Alexander Bele, Sebastian Eitenberger, Michael Minar, Patrick Schmidt and captain Floran Steyrer. Between them, they have amassed nearly 600 Austria outdoor caps.
Christoph Sandbichler will take on the goalkeeping duties after Mateusz Szymczyk sustained a nasty injury during last February’s EuroHockey Indoor Championship in Leuven.
The Viennese side qualified for the competition as Austrian regular season champions but they missed out on the overall title at the hands of AHTC.
They opened their league season with a win over HDI WAC but the heavy rain in central Europe meant they have had limited further league games to work with.
