About Rot-Weiss Koln
The reigning German champion, trained by André Henning, enter the 2021/22 season almost unchanged from last season.
Four young talents – Valentin Esterhues, Vincent Kallrath, Lasse Mink and Moritz Zimmermann – have moved on but they are reinforced by Frederik Nyström, who moved from Uhlenhorst Mülheim to the Rhine, a
“We have 27or 28 players who can play in the Bundesliga. That is good and the format of our season gives us a lot of chances to develop the squad ”, said Henning hopefully.
Their season did get off to a slow start with a 6-0 loss to Harvestehuder THC but the return of national players Christopher Rühr, Mats Grambusch, Johannes Große, Timur Oruz (Germany), Mink van der Weerden (European Champion 2021 with the Netherlands) and Tokyo Olympic Champion Vincent Vanasch from Belgium makes a big difference. They have since won their first three league games.
