About HC Bloemendaal
Bloemendaal enter the new season with a number of significant changes to their line-up as they look to win back the title they relinquished a year ago.
That came with a defeat to SV Kampong in the KO16, a first defeat in an EHL game since 2015.
Coming into the club this season are Australian international Nathan Ephraums from Melbourne while Yannick van der Drift returns from Real Club de Polo de Barcelona after a couple of seasons.
They have also added rising Dutch talents Jan van ‘t Land and Lucas Veen who arrive following the relegation of HGC.
On the flip side, their forward talisman Thierry Brinkman has switched to Den Bosch and two-time FIH player of the year Arthur van Doren has gone to Braxgata in Belgium. Casper van Loon moves to Hurley.
As always, they have plenty of star power flowing through their line-up. Olympic gold medalist Floris Wortelboer was widely regarded as the player of the tournament in Paris. England’s Zach Wallace, Spanish star Marc Miralles and Dutch internationals Maurits Visser, Teun Beins, Jasper Brinkman and Dennis Warmerdam give them a range of threats.
