About Harvestehuder THC
The surprise German champions last year are set to make their EHL Women’s debut.
Indeed, it is their first women’s top tier European appearance since 1975 when they finished fourth in the Club Champions Cup, a year after they won the competition in Hamburg.
The squad is coached by Tobias Jordan who is in his second season and they have a side which has undergone a number of changes since winning the title.
Finja Starck (Uhlenhorst Mülheim), Laura Plüth (Club Raffelberg), Izzy Petter (Surbiton/England), and Isabella Ojiako (Kieler HTC/Klipper) joined the club with Rosa Krüger retired.
Fenja Poppe captains the side having led the German women to the EuroHockey Indoor Championship in January in Prague. Austria’s Katharina Bauer, French Olympian Albane Garot and German international Teresa Martin Pelegrina are other important figures.
They sit in fourth place at the winter break after five wins and four draws from their 12 games; crucially, they have also picked up four bonus points following shoot-out success in drawn games.
