About Gantoise HC (men)
Gantoise ended a 101-year wait for the Belgian men’s national title last season when they overcame Waterloo Ducks in the championship final.
It capped their incredible rise under Pascal Kina over the past few years, building the side year on year. Antoine Kina is the lynch-pin in the side in midfield who is their Red Panther in a cosmopolitan side.
It features a wealth of French internationals like Timothée and Mathis Clément, top scorer Charles Masson, François Goyet and Étienne Tynevez and Irish stars Jaime Carr, Luke Madeley and Sean Murray. Angus Fry is a new addition this season from Australia.
Roman Duvekot, Emile Esquelin and Guillaume Hellin are lively figures, too, who offer a range of threats.
Gantoise are in second place over the winter break. They are 11 points off leaders Léopold but lead a hugely competitive race for the playoffs with just three points covering third to seventh spot in the table.
Last season’s EHL saw them face two shoot-outs, a FINAL8 defeat to Atlètic Terrassa and a ranking match success against Hamburger Polo Club.
