About Club Campo de Madrid
Two-time EHL Women silver medalists Real Club de Campo will be looking after a couple of years outside the EHL final four as they continue to be the only women’s side to play in all six editions of the competition.
It follows their defeat last year to eventual finalists Braxgata in the FINAL12 in a shoot-out; this year they await the winner of either Slavia Prague or Gantoise.
Once again, they have a stylish panel packed with top level experience – Coti and Flor Amundson Teves have an extra year under their belts with the club having moved from Real Club de Polo last year to help Campo win the title.
Maria Lopez, Bea Perez, Candela Mejias, Belen Iglesias, twins Laura and Sara Barrios and Alejandra Torres-Quevedo are all class performers with a wealth of international experience in their tank. Begoña Garcia is also back after giving birth to her first child with Alvaro Iglesias; she has been among the goals with six to her name since her return.
And they have amassed 11 wins from their first 12 games in the Iberdrola League to build a healthy lead in their domestic competition, putting them in good shape to make their mark in Den Bosch.
