Match report
AH&BC Amsterdam over-powered Scottish newcomers Grove Menzieshill as their array of world stars had too much quality in the tank.
Justin Reid-Ross grabbed a goal from play in the first few minutes when he reacted quickest to sweep in after Mirco Pruijser’s initial shot.
He added a corner in the first minute of the second quarter before Boris Burkhardt flicked home a rising flick. Pruijser’s pirouette turned in the fourth and Reid-Ross concluded his hat trick for 5-0 at half-time.
The biggest cheer came 30 seconds into the second half when Menzieshill pulled one back as Luke Cranney intercepted on the left flank and crossed the ball which eventually fell to Jamie Golden to finish.
Further goals from Pruijser, Valentin Verga, Tom Hiebendaal and Burkhardt stretched the lead out to 9-1 before the end of the first half. Burkhardt became the second player to complete his hat trick in the 49th minute.
Pruijser became the third to score a treble with four minutes remaining before Rik van Kan added the 12th goal.
