Mannheimer HC’s women won the German regular season title last Sunday with a decisive success over reigning champions, Düsseldorfer HC.
The 5-1 success confirmed they will play in the EHL again next season with the second German spot to be determined at the playoff finals at the end of this month.
Early on, it was tight with Selin Oruz and Stine Kurz exchanging goals before Mannheim took control before half-time. Quickfire goals from Nadine Kanler, Kurz again and Agustina Habif made it 4-1 and the result was confirmed when Sonja Zimmerman struck in the 38th minute from a corner.
With an eight-point lead and just one game left, Mannheim is in first place and thus secured participation in the 2026 Euro Hockey League.
