KO16 Match schedule released and tickets go on sale

The match schedule and tickets have been released for the ABN AMRO EHL Men KO16 which takes place from the 3rd to 6th October, 2024 at Surbiton Hockey Club.

The event raises the curtain on the new EHL club season with 16 clubs from 11 different countries, battling it out over four days, all bidding to win a precious ticket to next Easter’s EHL FINAL8.

Tickets are now available for the event with daily and two-day passes with prices starting from €23 for adults and €15 for Under-18s.

The action begins on Thursday 3rd October with Lille MHC facing Grasshopper Club Zurich (12.45 local time), Banbridge playing Royal Léopold (15.00), Mannheimer HC taking on Austrian champions AHTC Wien (17.15) and HC Bloemendaal playing Real Club de Polo de Barcelona (19.30).

Each winner will advance to a KO8 match to be played on Friday 4th October with the loser of each game going into a Ranking Match on the same day.

Host club Surbiton enter the fray on Saturday 5th October when they take on Belgian giants Waterloo Ducks at 17.30 (local time). It forms part of an enticing double-header for local fans with near neighbours Wimbledon playing the game before against Scotland’s Western Wildcats at 15.15.

The winners of those two games will meet a day later in the KO8 on Sunday 6th October at 17.00, providing a big finale to the weekend.

Prior to those games, the Saturday schedule also features Hamburger Polo Club against Austria’s SV Arminen (10.45) and HC Rotterdam against Czechia side TJ Plzeň-Litice (13.00). All will be hoping to take up a place in the other KO8 game on Sunday 6th October.

It promises to be another special edition in the history of the EHL, the world’s premier club hockey competition.
