Joep Troost and Alex Hendrickx both scored twice for Pinoké to see them through to their first ever EHL Men’s GRAND FINAL, seeing off Old Georgians 4-1.
It was built around the perfect start as Troost scored within a minute, finishing off a sublime team move, picking up a brilliant pass from Florent van Aubel and firing across the pads of George Pinner.
Troost then made it 2-0 from a piece of sharp-thinking. His initial move got him space on the baseline from Sebastien Dockier’s pass but his cross was blocked by Pinner – Troost, though, was quickest to react and he slammed in his second of the day.
From there, they were comfortable and made it extra clear when Jannis van Hattum was bundled over on the edge of the circle. Hendrickx stepped up to score the stroke and make it 3-0.
Sam Hiha got one back for OGs when he turned in a pass from Chris Griffiths but the scoring was complete in the 43rd minute when Hendrickx pounced on his own corner rebound to make it 4-1.
