East Grinstead and Old Georgians ready for indoor semis

East Grinstead and Old Georgians are hoping to light up the English Super 6s Championships next Sunday in Derby.

It is another highlight in a busy season for the two clubs which will see them also play in the EHL FINAL8 at Easter.

EG had ended the regular season in third place with five wins from their eight games with Irish international Chloe Brown (pictured) leading the way with 10 goals, well supported by Biba Mills.

Their semi-final opponent is Slough, a side they drew with 2-2 during the group stages of the competition.

On the other side of the draw, Buckingham are up against Surbiton with the former topping the group, auguring well for their European club challenge in February.

On the men’s side, Old Georgians were top of the men’s Premier Division, winning seven out of their eight games.

They ran up a huge 62 goals from their games this term with James Carson firing in 17 times while his brother Tom and Alan Forsyth have 10 each.

Below them four teams were separated by only three points as the remaining three finals spots were contested.

It was Sevenoaks that finished as runner-up, with Wimbledon one point behind them in third.  Hampstead & Westminster edged out East Grinstead in fourth, with a superior goal difference.  The schedule for finals day is now confirmed:

It means OGs will face Hampstead while Sevenoaks meet Wimbledon on Sunday afternoon.
