Real Club de Polo delighted their home crowd in the second half to get the best of CAM 92 and reach the KO8 where they will face Holcombe for a FINAL8 spot.
It was a tense first half in which les Camistes had the stronger of the openings but could not breakthrough, 0-0 at the midway point.
But Polo found their rhythm in the second half and controlled the third quarter. They went in front from a powerful Marc Recasens penalty corner drag-flick a minute into the second half and they were flying when Anton Borras finished off a rapid turnover move.
James Liddiard did breathe life into the CAM challenge when his deflection bounced in off a defender’s body, cutting the gap to 2-1 with nine minutes to go.
But another Recasens bullet from a corner put more daylight between the teams and Alex Reyné slotted into an open goal to complete a 4-1 victory.
