SCHC confirm top spot in women’s Hoofklasse

SCHC confirmed they will top the women’s Hoofdklasse as they defeated Bloemendaal 3-0 on the penultimate day of the regular campaign and earn an EHL spot for next season.

Yibbi Jansen scored late in the first half and a few minutes from the end to start and finish the scoring with Trijntje Beljaars getting the other strike.

For Jansen, they were her 31st and 32nd goals for the season and it helped the Bilthoven club finish top of the regular season table for a second time, the other coming in 2013/14.

They will now face Hurley in the championship playoffs with AH&BC Amsterdam and Den Bosch meeting in the other semi-final pairing.

Amsterdam ran up a 5-1 win over Hurley this week while Den Bosch eased by already relegated Klein Zwitserland 4-0.

On the men’s side, Pinoké picked up a big 2-1 win over Oranje-Rood via first half goals from Marlon Landbrug and Sebastien Dockier. It moves them into fourth place on goal difference above the Eindhoven club.

Kampong already have the EHL ticket from the league with Bloemendaal confirmed in second. HC Rotterdam pinned down third place with a 3-1 victory at HGC.

It leaves the fourth playoff place up for grabs with Pinoké in control; they play bottom-ranked Voordaan in their last match while Oranje-Rood are up against Kampong.
