Bloemendaal land Wallace for next season

HC Bloemendaal have added another stellar name to their line-up with Zach Wallace joining the reigning EHL champions next season.

The Englishman joins from HGC and is thrilled with the move.

Bloemendaal has a long tradition of success,’ he said, looking at the large portrait of Teun de Nooijer that hangs in the boardroom of the club.

“I would like to be part of that. Bloemendaal is such a great team. Look at the famous names that came before me.’

‘It is a team with an enormous winning mentality. That sounds great to me and I can learn from it.

Michiel Hilders from Bloemendaal’s Tophockey committee is pleased with his newest addition: “Zach is currently one of the most spectacular players in the Dutch league and we are happy to welcome him to Bloemendaal. It is very nice that he wants to commit himself to our club for a longer period of time.

“Of course as a hockey player, but also as a person I’m sure he will fit in very well with the group.”

Wallace is the second confirmed addition to the Bloemendaal panel with Wigert Schut also arriving from hdm. Tim Swaen, Roel Bovendeert and Glenn Schuurman have all indicated they will retire at the end of this season.
