Den Bosch won the battle of Brabant as they continued their unbeaten run in the women’s Hoofdklasse, beating Tilburg 2-0.
In a strong start, they broke the deadlock four minutes in when Noor Omrani laid up a perfect assist for Joosje Burg to touch in the first goal.
Maddie Hinch kept out a number of chances during that opening phase to keep it tight for long times and Tilburg had their moments, drawing some big stops from Josine Koning.
But Frédérique Matla eventually got her goal in the 54th minute when Omrani once again gave the assist, a glorious diagonal from the left into the middle which set up a run on goal which she finished calmly.
It makes it 12 games unbeaten for Den Bosch as they sit in third place on 33 points. They are five points back from AH&BC Amsterdam and eight off leaders SCHC.
Amsterdam won 3-1 against HDM on Saturday evening while SCHC picked up the same scoreline against Hurley with goals from Trijntje Beljaars and two from Yibbi Jansen.
