Two new wildcats as western

Western Wildcats have added two new players ahead of their return to the EHL next month in Hamburg with Jack McKenzie and Andrew Lochrin joining the club.

Forward McKenzie signs from fellow Glasgow side Clydesdale and brings plenty of EHL experience having played in the competition 10 times for Kelburne. While at Kelburne, he won five league and four cup titles.

The 21-year-old Lochrin (pictured), meanwhile, arrives from Uddingston Hockey Club where he has captained the side, a role he has reprised with the Scottish Under-21 side.

He is a strong defender who lined out in the EuroHockey Junior Championships in Ghent this summer.

Western will face EHL KO16 hosts Harvestehuder THC next month in their first campaign in the competition for 11 years. They qualified having won three trophies in the Scottish season.
