The French men’s finalists will be determined this weekend with the semi-final stages taking place over two legs.
CA Montrouge won the regular season by three points from Lille, confirming their top spot with a 4-3 win over Racing Club de France on the last day of the campaign.
As such, Montrouge will have a slight psychological advantage for their semi-final as they meet Racing – who finished in fourth place – in the semis with games on Saturday and Sunday.
They have been the stand-out side this term with 47 points out of 54 on offer with Corentin Sellier (18 goals) and Louis Poupee (17) firing home at almost a goal a game each.
The other semi-final match-up sees second placed Lille up against Saint Germain. For Lille, their game has been built around a strong defence, conceding just 16 times in their 18 fixtures.
They face a free-scoring Saint Germain for whom William-Ike Jeammot and Hugo Verrier – 14 goals each – have been central figures.
Lille come into the semis off the back of a 2-1 win over Paris Jean Bouin while Saint Germain eased by bottom side Antibes 6-0 with five goals from Verrier.
In the French women’s semi-finals, Lambersart will play Stade Français while Cambrai host CA Montrouge in the other final four encounter.
