Gantoise win back-to-back Belgian women’s final

Gantoise won the women’s Belgian title with plenty to spare as they won the two-legged final with a 3-1 success on Saturday followed by a 3-0 victory on Sunday.

They raced out of the blocks in game one with Ambre Ballenghien swooping for a fourth minute opening goal against KHC Dragons and they scarcely looked back.

Delfina Gaspari finished off a lovely team move for 2-0 from Noa Schruers pass; Schruers added the third before Dragons got on the board with 25 minutes to go.

And Gantoise completed their second successive title with a comprehensive Sunday success with Ballenghien starting the scoring once more from a stroke.

Alix Gerniers added the next from a corner and then Ballenghien got her third of the weekend to set off huge celebrations from the club’s big support at Louvain-la-neuve.
