The route to Euro Hockey League glory has been set following the draw, conducted by Simon Mason, HC Bloemendaal’s Jorrit Croon and AH&BC Amsterdam’s Kira Horn, for next Easter’s EHL events in Amsterdam and Egara.

In the women’s FINAL8 line-up, reigning champions HC ’s-Hertogenbosch will start their campaign against Ireland’s Pegasus at next Easter’s event at the Wagener Stadium.

The winner of that tie will be up against either England’s Surbiton or Belgium newcomers Gantoise who were the EuroHockey Trophy champions in October.

In the lower half of the draw, Germany’s Düsseldorfer HC face Spanish second seed Junior FC. Last season’s runners-up Club de Campo de Madrid will face third place finishers AH&BC Amsterdam.

In the men’s EHL FINAL12 preliminary round, SV Kampong will meet Uhlenhorst Mülheim in a battle between the second seeds from the Netherlands and Germany. The winner will face another huge contest with Rot-Weiss Köln waiting in the FINAL8.

France’s Saint Germain are up against Surbiton in the next section of the draw with the winners going on to meet Belgium’s KHC Dragons.

Belarus’s HC Minsk and Austria’s SV Arminen are both eyeing their first ever run to the last eight when they meet in their first round contests. The side that advances will go on to play Club de Campo de Madrid.

The final section of the draw could produce a repeat of the 2021 GRAND FINAL between Atlètic Terrassa and HC Bloemendaal. That would occur if Atlètic can get the better of Russia’s champions Dinamo Ak-Bars.

In the third draw of the day, the EHL Men’s Cup sees hosts Club Egara up against Austrian debutants SV Post. HC Rotterdam will take on Ireland’s Three Rock Rovers; Scotland’s Grange will face 2019 EHL champions Waterloo Ducks. Mannheimer HC take on Hampstead & Westminster hoping to repeat their shoot-out win from last October in Brasschaat.
