The draw for the EHL Men FINAL8 will take place on Friday, October 18 (12pm CET) when the path to the glory and the Alain Danet Trophy will be laid out via Facebook Live.
The Live broadcast will also outline the tournament layout for the first ever EHL Women’s event. This FINAL8 draw has already been confirmed as per European Hockey Federation regulations.
Both competitions will take place at the same venue – which will be confirmed in due course – next Easter with the same top-class sports presentation in the stadium and elite quality broadcast production.
For the EHL Men’s draw, national champions Uhlenhorst Mulheim (Germany), Royal Leopold (Belgium), HC Bloemendaal (Netherlands) and Club Egara (Spain) all received byes to the FINAL8.
They will be drawn against one of the four qualifiers from last week’s EHL KO16 in Barcelona: Mannheimer HC and Rot-Weiss Koln (both from Germany), SV Kampong (Netherlands) and Surbiton (England).
Goalkeeping legend and European Hockey Federation board member Simon Mason will compere the live draw with AH&BC Amsterdam superstar Eva de Goede and Waterloo Duck’s EHL winning netminder Vincent Vanasch drawing the names from the pots.
