Club biography

One of the early Belgian renegades of the Euro Hockey
League, KHC Leuven will make their first appearance in the competition since
2010 thanks to their superb season last year in the Audi league. They topped
the regular season standings to qualify as one of the country’s three entrants
to give them a chance of emulating their fourth place finish in the 2008/09
season.
As before, Pau Quemada has been their talisman with the
goals while they have a strong French flavour to the selection with Lucas Sevestre
back at the club after a year in Australia. He joins the likes of Guillaume
Deront, Tom and Hugo Genestet who have graced the club in the past season.
They had an inauspicious first half of the Belgian league
campaign with Quemada injured for much of it. With him fully fit, though, they
pose a serious threat.
