Royal Léopold stormed to the Belgian men’s indoor title in Leuven as they got the best of Orée 9-4 in Sunday’s final.
Léo edged in front 2-0 in the opening minutes via Tanguy Zimmer and Nicolas Poncelet but the combination of Francois Sior and Stan Branicki tied things up at 2-2.
However, Léo made their big move soon after when Philippe Simar and Max Plennevaux put them in the clear at 4-2 at the end of Q1.
And they raced out of sight from there with Plennevaux adding three more and Alfonso Moreno made it 8-2.
In put them in total control and they stayed well clear down the closing stretch.
On the women’s side, Waterloo Ducks took the glory with a 4-0 success. Marie Ronquetti broke the deadlock in the 29th minute, the first of her goals which was augmented by Caroline Wagemans.
