Club biography

This will be AZS AWF’s second appearance in the Euro Hockey League, lining out seven years ago in Round 1 in Paris at Saint Germain where they were undone by East Grinstead 4-1 and AH&BC Amsterdam 6-0.

They qualified for this year’s EHL as the Polish runners-up, beating KS Pomorzanin Torun in the playoff semi-final before falling 6-1 to WKS Grunwald Poznan in the final. Mikolaj Gumny was their key striker with 16 goals to his name while their defence was one of their key assets last time around.

They face a really tough Round 1 group, meeting the reigning champions SV Kampong and England’s rising force Holcombe in Banbridge.
