Club biography

Perennial Russian champions, Dinamo Kazan - along with WKS Grunwald Poznan - are one of only two ever-present sides to be playing in their tenth Euro Hockey League.

They will initially be looking to make it beyond Round 1 for a sixth time but have a tough group against Kelburne and Atletic Terrassa.

They won the Russian crown in early July with victory over Dinamo Elektrostal in their three-legged final. Nikolay Yankun ended the campaign as the league’s top scorer with a massive 31 goals and he is part of a squad with a glut of international experience.

Seven of their number were in a recent Russian training camp under new coach Michael Nobbs with Marat Gafarov, Pavel Golubev, Ilfat Zamalutdinov, Nikolai Komarov, Anton Kornilov, Aleksey Mayorov and Igor Sinyagin called in.
