Club biography

Cardiff & Met produced a stellar season to earn Wales back a place in the Euro Hockey League, one which they get to take up themselves following their victory at the EuroHockey Club Champions Trophy in Glasgow last May. It followed them topping the table in the western conference in England but narrowly missing out on promotion to the Premier League.

They are the only Welsh side to have played in the Euro Hockey League, their debut appearance coming in the 2013-14 season. Then, they lost 3-1 to Beeston before suffering a 9-1 defeat to that year’s eventual champions Harvestehuder THC.

They feature a number of Welsh internationals in their line-up including national captain Luke Hawker, James Carson, Liam Brignull, Dale Hutchinson, James Fortnam and Dan Kyriakides who is part of the Great Britain Under-23 selection.
