AH&BC Amsterdam

Club biography

Finalists in 2016, AH&BC Amsterdam will be looking to make the breakthrough and win the top prize in European club hockey. Their big addition this season has been Australian World Cup winner Fergus Kavanagh.

He adds to a star-studded squad with Dutch Olympic trip Valentin Verga, Mirco Pruyser and Billy Bakker central to their plans along with the experienced Klaas Vermeulen and drag-flick expert from South Africa, Justin Reid-Ross.

Amsterdam also feature a series of indoor World Cup winners like Teun Rohof, goalkeeper Laurens Goedegebuure and Robert Tigges. Their coach Dirk Loots has previously led HGC to the EHL title but has confirmed that when this season ends, he will step down from the top job.

They hold the record for the biggest ever EHL win, a 19-2 success against KS Pomorzanin Torun.
